Our Range Of Scalextric Tracks For Hire
There are 2 types of slot car tracks currently in use.
Analogue This type of track has a separate lane for each car, the hand controller controls the power being applied directly to the track, the more power, the faster the car travels. The main disadvantage of this type of track is that when you are racing more than 4 cars the track size becomes unwieldy and limits the type of layout you can use.
Digital This is the latest development in the slot car racing world. The tracks on a digital system are permanently supplied with full power. The hand controller send digital signals to the individual cars which then set their speed according to their programming. The advantage of this type of system is two fold, firstly you can race upto 8 cars on a 2 lane track, meaning you can have a more compact layout which actually has a longer track length than the larger analogue layout. Secondly additional features can be built into the controlling computer, so the cars can be programmed with limited amounts of fuel, if they do not drive into a pit lane to refuel then they will run out and come to a stop. Or weather can be programmed into the system, if it rains a Formula 1 car would need to visit the pit lane to simulate changing its tyres.
We can currently offer;
Analogue 4 lane track, 10ft x 5ft layout with full landscaping and computerised lap timing.
Digital 4 lane track with upto 6 cars, 10ft x 6ft layout with full landscaping and computerised lap timing.
Digital 2 lane track with upto 6 cars, 16ft by 9 ft layout with full landscaping and computerised lap timing.
A 4 lane analogue track with landscaping and full PC lap timing. 10ft x 5ft
Landscaping All of our tracks have full landscaping with grandstands, spectators, trees and a pit crew to add realism to the layout.
Lap Timing All of our tracks come with PC based lap timing systems, not only showing who has won the race, but allowing a full analysis of each lap time, maximum speed reached and a host of other details, allowing for a full championship series to be run with heats leading to a grand final.
Cars We offer a range of different cars with each track, allowing rally stages, Formula 1, endurance and road racing matches.
